San Miguel Corporation, the Philippines’ largest diversified conglomerate was honored with two prestigious accolades at the Global Good Governance Awards: the 3G Excellence in Sustainable Development Award and the 3G Community Development and Philanthropy Award. These recognitions celebrate SMC’s outstanding performance in sustainable community development and nation-building initiatives, recognizing the Corporation team’s collective efforts and affirming the Company’s belief that long-term success requires responsible environmental stewardship and community support.
The 3G Excellence in Sustainable Development Award and the 3G Community Development and Philanthropy Awards recognized the success and impacts of San Miguel’s Better World Communities. Better World Tondo focuses on food rescue, hunger relief, and learning improvement efforts for the community of Tondo, Manila, and its neighbors. Beter World Cubao in Quezon City focuses on women’s health and support center, offering clinic and support services for underprivileged women and mothers in the area. Better World Smokey Mountain, the newest center in Manila, serves as an upskilling training center for multi-generational families, providing livelihood and alternative income workshops for the underprivileged and arming them with employable skills.
