The Department
of Science and Technology Quezon, under the
Community Empowerment
thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program, conducted the delivery and
installation of science and
technology exhibits for the
project โEstablishment of
Mini Science Centrum for
Selected Island Municipalities in Quezon Provinceโ
from Feb 8-9, 2024 at Cesar C Tan Memorial National High School, Alabat
Island Quezon Quezon.
This project is in
collaboration between the
DOST-CALABARZON,
the Philippine Foundation
for Science and Technology (PFST), DepEd Tayo
Quezon, the Local Government Unit of Quezon,
Quezon, and the Provincial Government of Quezon.
A meeting was
also facilitated by DOST
CALABARZON together
with LGU Quezon, Quezon, and Cesar C. Tan
Memorial National High
School to discuss the
roles and responsibilities
under the Memorandum of
Agreement.
The mini science
centrum aims to showcase
interactive and unique exhibits on science concepts
and processes that would
help teachers and learners
in the said island communities.
The Science
Centrum in Alabat Island
is set to be launched this
April 2024!
