Go Negosyo and
motorcycle-hailing app
Angkas have entered into
a partnership that will pave
the way for more opportunities for Filipinos, including motorcycle riders, to
become nanopreneurs.
Joey Concepcion, Go Negosyo founder,
and Angkas chief executive officer George Royeca, forged the agreement
following a recent meeting.
“The agreement
with Angkas will not only
empower Go Negosyo to
further promote entrepreneurship but is also a major piece in having more
jobs available for Filipinos,” Concepcion said.
“Through this, we
can also help the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. create
fresh employment opportunities for Filipino nanopreneurs and further boost
the country’s economy,”
he added.
Royeca, for his
part, said the partnership
with Go Negosyo will be
a big boost to the motorcycle-hailing app’s goal of
creating one million jobs in
three years.
Part of the Private Sector Advisory
Council (PSAC) Jobs Sector group’s recommendation to the President is to
establish a Motorcycle Micro Business Program to
fast-track the development
and empowerment of motorcycle “nano-preneurs.”
The program
aims to provide mentorship on entrepreneurship
to Angkas riders and their
families to help augment
their income by starting
their own business that will
supplement their income
for the needs of their families.
As lead of the
PSAC Jobs Sector Group,
Concepcion recently presented the Motorcycle Micro Business Program to
President Marcos during a
meeting in Malacanang.
Various government agencies, including
the Department of Transportation, expressed full
support for the program.
