Nearly 400 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, together with City and Municipal Links from various LGUs across Cavite, gathered on November 14, at the General Trias Sports Park in Santiago, General Trias City for the 2025 4Ps Family Day Celebration. This year’s theme, โPamilya’y Matibay, sa 4Ps ay Tagumpay,โ emphasized the vital role of strong families and committed frontline workers in the sustained success of the program.
Organized by the Provincial Government of Cavite through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), in coordination with the Cavite Provincial Operations Office of the DSWD IV-CALABARZON, the celebration brought together families for a day of learning, inspiration, and camaraderie.
The program opened with warm welcome remarks from Ms. Ekeiko Paola Haidah Sadang, Promotive Division Head of OPSWDO, who emphasized the importance of family solidarity and the continuing support of the provincial government for the 4Ps community.
Members of the 4Ps Council also delivered motivational messages, uplifting the families and reinforcing their commitment to the program’s goals.
Inspirational talks on strengthening family values highlighted the event. Pastor Edsel Alcantara, Provincial Coordinator of Pearl of the Orient, shared reflections on life’s diverse journeys, reminding participants that โevery journey begins with a single step,โ encouraging families to start taking steps today toward achieving their dreams. Pastor Conrado Perez, Regional Coordinator of Pearl of the Orient, followed with a message centered on goal-setting, self-worth, and hope, reminding the attendees that they are valued, loved, and destined for victory.
A special message was also shared by Ms. Analyn Peรฑaflorida, Regional Winner of Huwarang Pamilya, who moved the crowd with her personal story of perseverance, discipline, and faithโan embodiment of what a true model family represents.
Further strengthening community support, Mayor Luis โJon-jonโ A. Ferrer IV graced the event and delivered his message of encouragement, affirming the commitment of the City Government of General Trias to empower 4Ps beneficiaries.
One of the most anticipated parts of the program was the Family Games, which showcased teamwork, sportsmanship, and the lively spirit of Caviteรฑo families. Emerging as Champion was the team from General Mariano Alvarez, followed by Amadeo in first place, and Silang securing the second place. Children participants also received gifts from OPSWDO, adding joy to the meaningful celebration.
The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and prizes, recognizing the active participation of the families and partners in making the celebration a success.
In her closing message, Ms. Roselyn Daradal, 4Ps Coordinator of OPSWDO, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all participants, partner agencies, and local government units. She assured the continuous support and dedication of the Provincial Government of Cavite in uplifting the welfare and well-being of all 4Ps families.
