Assistance – LDRRMCO

in Trece Martires City.
Provincial Administrator for Community
Affairs, Mr. Alvin Mojica
formally welcomed the
validating team comprised
of Mr. Randy N. Dela Cruz
and Ms. Juvy Grace N.
Abarquez from the Office
of Civil Defense – CALABARZON and Mr. Raphael
San Antonio of the Department of Science and Technology – CALABARZON.
Vice Governor Athena
Bryana Tolentino, likewise,
had a brief exchange with
the validating team as she
graced the activity in support of the province’s bid
for the seal of excellence.
During the validation proper, the team
did a thorough review of
the documents collated by
the Office of the PDRRM
Officer to verify Cavite
PDRRMC’s level of compliance to the set of indicators in the assessment
toolkit. They also visited
several areas including
the PDRRMC Operation
Center, evacuation area,
warehouse, and the command center.
Joining the validation process were
PDRRMC member agencies primarily involved in
disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and
rehabilitation headed by
PDRRM Officer, Ms. Eloisa Rosul, Provincial Social
Welfare and Development
Officer, Ms. Felipa Servañez, Provincial Planning
and Development Coordinator, Engr. Lorna Leyran,
DILG Provincial Director,
Engr. Danilo Nobleza, and
DOST Provincial Director
Gilda De Jesus.
Gawad Kalasag
is a mandatory assessment of all Local DRRM
Councils and Offices of
local government units,
specifically the provinces,
cities and municipalities
in the country. Last year,
Cavite PDRRMC/O was
awarded with Beyond
Compliance rating in the
National Gawad Kalasag
Seal of Excellence
