On August 17,
2023, validators of the
Galing Pook Foundation
visited the Province of
Cavite for the onsite validation of the Provincial
Government’s program
entry for this year’s Galing
Pook Awards – the LINKod
Beyond Bars: A Social Inclusion Program of Cavite
Provincial Jail (CPJ) Using
E-Technologies. The validators were Former Bulacan Governor Josefina
M. Dela Cruz and Bantay
Kita National Coordinator
Vincent Lazatin, joined by
Ms. Monette Montemayor,
Program Staff from Galing
Pook Foundation.
Governor Juanito Victor C. Remulla led
the Project Management
Team of the Provincial
Government of Cavite
during the course of the
validation, together with
Provincial Administrator
for Community Affairs, Mr.
Alvin S. Mojica and PCOL
Gil T. Torralba (Ret.) who
provided guidance in the
inception and implementation of the program during
his tenure as Provincial
Warden of the Cavite Provincial Jail.
The different
offices of the Provincial
Government of Cavite
(PGC) composing the
project management team
were also represented by
the department heads who
provided vital inputs during
the discussions at the
Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Legislative Building in Trece
Martires City. Likewise,
the CPJ team and the Galing Pook PGC Technical
Working Group headed
by Ms. Anne Minnette M.
Dastas were present and
ready for the inquiries and
clarifications from the validators.
The validation
team also visited the provincial jail to personally
have a glimpse of the various components of the
LINKod Beyond Bars and
how they are being implemented. They also had the
opportunity to interact with
the other stakeholders and
beneficiaries of the program.
