BACOOR CITY, Cavite (PIA) โ An embodiment of resilience and strength, the City Government launched various programs to give recognition to more than 1,000 solo parents during this yearโs Solo Parent Day celebration.
Last May 4, the city government brought a caravan of government services and financial subsidy distribution for around 1,018 solo parents in the city.
In a statement, the Bacoor LGU underscored the importance of providing support to solo parents who continue to care for their families.
โMayor Strike emphasized the importance of supporting solo parents, recognizing them as strong pillars of the community who continue to provide and care for their families everyday.โ
Led by the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), the Solo Parent Day celebration also launched a series of projects for single parents including financial assistance distribution, job opportunities and employment support, and distribution of livelihood and social welfare assistance.
National government agencies, such as the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) also joined the caravan to bring its registration services for the PhilHealth Yakap program. (PB-PIA CALABARZON/City Government of Bacoor)
